The problem
Ocean Pharma has been successfully using the proven active ingredient Spiralin®in its innovative cosmeceutical lines Spirularin® and skinicer® for years. It was therefore an obvious step to use its great effect directly on freshly shaved or epilated skin – in the skinicer® Repair BALM.
How does REPAIR BALM work?
Freshly shaved or depilated skin is particularly vulnerable to bacteria because it is mechanically irritated during treatment and loses some of its natural protection:
- Razor blade– mechanical irritation of the skin surface
- Hot wax– sticks to the skin and stresses the protective barrier
- Epilator blades– rotating motion irritates the skin
When a hair is pulled out of the skin, a micro-openingis created, into which bacteria can penetrate and trigger pimples or other irritations.
