The glass vial (length: 50 mm, diameter: 8 mm) is set in 925 sterling silver and features a yellow Swarovski crystal. A necklace is included.

In 1862, the Virgin Mary is said to have appeared 18 times to the then 14-year-old Bernadette Soubirous near the Massabielle Grotto in Lourdes. During one of these apparitions, a spring was exposed within the grotto. Bernadette conveyed the message that a church should be built on the site and that processions should be held.

She was canonized on December 8, 1933. The sacred grounds surrounding the Grotto of Apparitions, famous for its miraculous water, attract around six million pilgrims annually, including Pope John Paul II and Benedict XVI. The spring water is said to have healing powers, and there are numerous reports of miraculous healings.
